Two people hurt as military vehicle crashes over highway wall, falls 30 feet onto road
A military Humvee pulling a trailer veered off Interstate 90 in Bellevue, Washington this past Saturday, crashing over a barrier and landing on a street below, as reported by the Washington State Patrol. The incident occurred on the eastbound side of I-90 near the Eastgate neighborhood. It was mentioned by Trooper Rick Johnson that the vehicle unexpectedly drifted off to the right, exiting the freeway, crossing a grassy area, and plunging approximately 30 feet onto Southeast 38th St. Two individuals from the military vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. The Humvee was reportedly heavily damaged. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
