
Two passengers killed in Inland Empire collision involving suspected DUI driver
A man was taken into custody early Saturday morning following a suspected DUI collision that resulted in the death of two passengers in the Inland Empire. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. on Limonite Avenue and Beach Street in Jurupa Valley. Authorities responded to a crash involving two vehicles that had blocked the eastbound lanes of Limonite. A van with passengers, who were not wearing seat belts, had collided, resulting in two fatalities. The deceased individuals have not yet been identified, pending family notification. The drivers and other occupants involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. The driver of the van, Bryan Cruz-Arenas, a 23-year-old from Jurupa Valley, was arrested on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing death/injury.
