Two kids injured, man arrested in Glens Falls car crash

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police arrested a Glens Falls man after a car crash on Cortland Street last week. Kody Luckow, 45, is facing numerous charges. On April 22 just before 7 p.m., officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the area after learning that the driver had fled the scene. During the ensuing investigation, Glens Falls Police determined that Luckow allegedly hit a curb and collided with a fire hydrant while leaving a nearby school event. According to police, two children younger than 16 were reportedly in the car at the time, who both were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Luckow is accused of being intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.21% during the crash. He was taken into custody as a result of the investigation and now faces the following charges: Luckow was arraigned at the Warren County CAP Court before being released on his own recognizance. He's scheduled to appear in Glens Falls City Court at a later date.
