
Two kids critically injured in Manchester, NH car accident
Residents of Belmont Street in Manchester, New Hampshire were left in shock and disbelief following a disturbing incident involving a car causing a multiple-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries to five individuals, including two children. Authorities reported the arrest of a man for driving under the influence. The two young girls who were struck by the vehicle sustained severe injuries, with witnesses recounting how the car collided with them as they crossed the street with their father. The driver allegedly hit one of the girls so forcefully that she was launched over the vehicle, while the other child in a stroller was dragged along for a block. The community, known for its unity and tight-knit relationships among families, expressed concern for the impact on the local children. Fortunately, an off-duty firefighter who happened to be nearby provided crucial immediate assistance to the injured girls. The Manchester Fire Department commended the swift actions of the firefighter and emergency responders who tended to the victims. Meanwhile, residents rushed to aid the injured children as the driver continued driving further along Belmont Street, eventually crashing into another vehicle and a telephone pole. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Justin LaClair of Manchester, was arrested and faces charges including aggravated DWI, reckless conduct, and conduct after an accident.
