Two individuals hospitalized in construction accident at new Clearwater Publix, officials report
A recent accident at a new Publix store in Clearwater resulted in two individuals being hospitalized after a scissor lift collapsed. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday at the shopping center located at 1295 S. Missouri Ave. Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue were quick to respond. Both individuals were taken to nearby hospitals as trauma alerts. One man is receiving care at Morton Plant Hospital, while the other was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.
