Two individuals die in separate accidents in Cherokee County, as per coroner
Two individuals lost their lives in separate car accidents near Gaffney on Thursday, as reported by Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler. The first incident involved a pickup truck driver, Kelvin Bernard Fernanders, 49, from Gaffney, who crashed on Concord Road. The driver veered off the road, hitting a ditch and overturning, leading to their death at the scene. The second collision occurred at the junction of S.C. Highway 150 North and Grassy Pond Road involving a car driven by Linda Greene, 77, from Boiling Springs, NC. The car crossed into the path of a southbound pickup truck resulting in her death at Cherokee Medical Center. Autopsies will be conducted on both victims for further investigation into these tragic accidents.
