
Two individuals detained for deadly traffic incidents in Vallejo in 2022 and 2023: Police
Vallejo Police Department recently announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with separate fatal car accidents that occurred in 2022 and 2023. The arrests, made on June 25, stemmed from warrants issued after the cases were reviewed by the Solano County District Attorney’s Office. In the first incident, which took place on November 26, 2023, a collision resulted in a fatality near Broadway Street and Sereno Drive. Further investigation showed that the driver, Gerardo Ulices Guzman Lozano, had intoxicants in their system at the time of the crash. Consequently, Lozano was arrested for vehicular homicide. In the second accident, occurring on March 21, 2022, one driver tragically lost their life on the 400 block of Redwood Street. The surviving driver, Maximo Enrique Sanchez Jr., was arrested for reckless driving leading to a homicide. Sgt. Lenard Alamon from the Vallejo Police Department emphasized the severity of driving under the influence and reckless driving, stressing the importance of responsible decision-making to ensure road safety.
