
Two fatalities in taxi accident on US 22 in Dauphin County, as per police
Two individuals have lost their lives following a collision on US 22 in Lower Paxton Township that has led to the closure of the area on Friday evening. A Lower Paxton Township Police officer confirmed that a taxi and van were involved in a crash on Jonestown Road near the AutoZone store at around 4:30 p.m. The taxi then hit a wall after the initial crash, resulting in the deaths of the taxi driver, a 65-year-old man, and a male passenger. Another female passenger sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital. The van driver, who was unharmed, is reportedly cooperating with authorities. The county coroner and various emergency crews responded to the incident, though there is currently no estimated time for the road to reopen.
