Two family members killed, another injured in Bristol accident
According to Bristol police, a tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning on Willis Street involving a father and his two sons. The driver, a 35-year-old man from Waterbury, and his 12-year-old son were sadly pronounced dead after their car, a 2006 Honda Civic, struck a tree. Their 10-year-old son, who was in the backseat, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The entire community extends its deepest sympathies to the family affected by this heartbreaking incident. Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu expressed gratitude for the response from law enforcement and emergency services, and Waterbury Mayor Paul Pernerewski also offered condolences to the grieving family.
