Two Americans escape in helicopter following deadly off-road accident in Baja, according to reports.

Authorities in Baja California are currently searching for the driver and co-pilot of an off-road racing vehicle, known as a "trophy truck," following a tragic crash that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred during a practice run for the upcoming Baja 500 race in the town of Eréndira. The American individuals involved, identified as Rolf Helland and Rick D. Johnson, reportedly fled the scene in a helicopter immediately after the collision. The victim, a 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The off-road vehicle, belonging to the Norseman Racing Team from Illinois, is said to be worth $1 million. The Baja California State Attorney General's Office has attributed responsibility for the crash to the "trophy truck." Reports indicate that the racing organizers, SCORE International, have declined to comment on the incident at this time.
