Twin brothers involved in hit-and-run crash in Albion; one dies from injuries, police report

Maine State Police officials shared the tragic news on Tuesday that a young boy passed away from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run incident in Albion, where his twin brother also lost his life. The boys' mother, Mollie Egold, suffered serious injuries in the accident, which occurred on Friday evening on Hussey Hill Road. The trio was struck by a white 2016 Hyundai Veloster that fled the scene. One of the boys, Bradley, was declared deceased at the accident site, while his twin, Noah, was in critical condition but also sadly succumbed to his injuries after several days. Mollie Egold was reported to be in stable condition after the collision. The driver responsible for the hit-and-run was identified as Benjamin Lancaster, and he appeared in court facing multiple charges, including manslaughter. As of now, Lancaster is being held on $100,000 bail at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility and has various restrictions imposed upon him.
