Tulare church seeks support following car crashing into building

A church in Tulare is seeking the community's support following a devastating car crash that severely damaged their building. The floors are covered with shattered glass and debris at Open Door Non-Denominational Holiness Church. Pastor Richard Wade shared that this is an unprecedented event for them, remarking, "It's hard. It's really hard." The vehicle collided with the side of their structure at Inyo and F Street, impacting a building that has been a staple in the community for 40 years. The church, previously a laundromat, holds sentimental value as it was transformed through the congregation's efforts, including selling sweets to raise funds. Thankfully, no one was inside during the crash, which could have been much worse according to Pastor Wade's wife, Sylvia. The church's instruments, which play a crucial role in their worship, were also damaged, with Pastor Wade particularly saddened by the condition of his music equipment. They are seeking donations to cover essential repairs, interior restoration, and safety assessments following this unfortunate incident.Click here to support their efforts.
