Truck driver facing charges in Oregon highway crash that resulted in 2 deaths.
In Oregon, a tragic incident unfolded on Hwy 20 resulting in the loss of two lives. A truck driver named Rajinder Kumar, 32, was taken into custody for his alleged role in the fatal crash. The Oregon State Police reported that Kumar faces charges of criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangerment. Following his arrest, he was placed in the Deschutes County Jail. According to the authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. near milepost 51, where Kumar's semi-truck was found in a jackknifed position blocking both lanes of the highway. The driver of the Subaru Outback involved in the crash, Williqm Carter, 25, collided with the trailer of the Freightliner. Tragically, Carter and his passenger, Jennifer Lower, 24, lost their lives at the scene.
