Truck driver distraction leads to fatal I-90 crash, taking life of Bozeman woman

A tragic incident occurred on Interstate 90 as multiple vehicles were involved in a fatal crash, resulting in the unfortunate passing of a 42-year-old woman from Bozeman. The accident, which took place near mile marker 311, was caused by a 53-year-old man from Billings who was driving a Peterbilt truck in the eastbound lane and failed to slow down in a construction zone. He rear-ended a VW Golf, leading to a chain reaction that affected several other vehicles, including a Subaru and a Ford Explorer, before ultimately running off the road and hitting a fence.
