Truck driver charged in fatal Georgia highway crash killing 3 adults, 5 children

A tragic accident on Interstate 85 in Jackson County resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including five children, after a semi-truck collided with a van, causing it to catch fire. The driver, 33-year-old Kane Hammock, has been charged with multiple counts of vehicular homicide. The collision also involved a vehicle from Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters, which was carrying 37 cats. Most of the cats have been found, but the crash is still being investigated by authorities.
