A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Troy Vaillancourt on Thursday, September 11 to 20 years in prison and an additional 12 years of extended supervision for a crash that resulted in the death of a Greenfield woman in December 2024. Vaillancourt admitted guilt in June to one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. The fatal incident occurred at the intersection of Lipton and Van Norman in Cudahy on Friday, December 6, 2024. Michelle Engman, who was critically injured in the collision and later passed away, was en route to her parish's tree lighting event at the time. Prosecutors revealed that Vaillancourt was under the influence while driving and his vehicle collided with Engman's Honda Civic.
