Trooper hurt in Mesa crash on SR 24
A Department of Public Safety trooper is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a collision in Mesa. The incident occurred at the intersection of State Route 24 and Signal Butte Road around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The trooper, who was on a motorcycle, was struck by a driver attempting to make a turn. The trooper was transported to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, as confirmed by Mesa Police Department authorities. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The accident is still being investigated.
