Train crash in Terre Haute with vehicle
Emergency personnel are currently at the site of a collision between a vehicle and a train in Terre Haute that occurred around 8 a.m. on Thursday. CSX's Director of Media Relations, Austin Staton, reported that one of their trains collided with a vehicle near the intersection of North Erickson Street and East Devonald Avenue. The driver of the vehicle has been taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Fortunately, the train crew was unharmed. CSX acknowledges the prompt assistance provided by local first responders and is conducting an investigation into the cause of the incident.
