Train and truck crash in Worden; no injuries confirmed
A truck driver miraculously survived a collision with a train near Worden on Sunday evening. The accident occurred around 5 p.m. near Highway 312 when a BNSF train struck a grain truck. The collision caused grain spillage onto the railway tracks, leading to a temporary halt in train operations in the vicinity. According to a Montana Highway Patrol officer, the driver of the truck failed to yield at the crossing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the significant impact. Railroad crews promptly arrived to assess the situation and initiate cleanup efforts. Drivers are being reminded by authorities to reduce speed and thoroughly check for oncoming trains at all railroad crossings, particularly in rural areas where visibility can be limited. Worden is located in Yellowstone County, approximately 20 miles northeast of Billings.
