Tragic ziplining accident claims life of 12-year-old in East Hempfield Township
A 12-year-old boy from Lancaster County tragically passed away on Sunday morning in a ziplining incident at his home. The accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on Chadwyck Lane when a tree supporting the zipline broke near its base, falling on the boy and causing fatal injuries. Emergency responders, including East Hempfield Township police, fire officials, and EMS crews, arrived at the scene. The incident is not under criminal investigation, and the coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of death.
