Tragic skydiving collision in Illinois kills 40-year-old diver
A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday in Ogle County, Illinois, when two skydivers collided midair causing their canopies to collapse. One of the skydivers, a 40-year-old man, suffered significant injuries and sadly passed away after an "uncontrolled descent" near Rochelle, Illinois. The other skydiver involved was found at Koritz Field–Rochelle Municipal Airport and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident, which involved the deployment of reserve parachutes. This incident is being looked into by both the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office and federal authorities.
