Tragic rollover crash claims life of teen boy in Portage County
A tragic car accident occurred in Palmyra Township, Ohio, on Friday night resulting in the loss of a 16-year-old boy's life. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that he was a backseat passenger in a vehicle driven by a teen girl that veered off Scotts Corners Road and into a ditch, striking a utility pole and trees before flipping over. The driver and two other passengers sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized. Authorities believe that speed played a role in the accident, which led to a temporary road closure for the investigation.
