Reports from Spanish state-owned TV station TVE and Marca confirm that the tragic incident also claimed the life of Diogo's brother Andre Silva, just days after Diogo's wedding. The news was shared by Zamora's Provincial Council, mentioning that the two young men lost their lives in a fire caused by the accident. Jota was known for his success in football, with a career that included stints at various clubs such as Atletico Madrid, FC Porto, and ultimately Liverpool, where he achieved great success under manager Jurgen Klopp. He was also a key player for the Portuguese national team.
