Tragic death of extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner in paragliding mishap

According to reports from News.Az citing Euronews, the Italian fire brigade and the Foreign Ministry in Vienna have confirmed the incident. The 56-year-old individual was paragliding along the Adriatic coast, starting from Fermo, when he lost control of his paraglider for reasons that are currently unknown. He eventually crashed into a swimming pool at a campsite and accidentally landed on a woman who was injured as a result. A tourist who witnessed the accident immediately contacted the emergency services. Reports suggest that Baumgartner suffered a cardiac arrest while still airborne. Prior to the accident, Baumgartner had posted an Instagram story indicating strong wind conditions. Baumgartner is renowned for his daring feats, with his most famous being a 2012 jump from the stratosphere which saw him break the sound barrier in free fall, reaching speeds of 1342.8 kilometres per hour.
