Tragic death of ex-Co-Lin softball player Josie Meggs in car accident
Former Co-Lin softball player and National Champion Josie Meggs tragically passed away in a car accident on Highway 12 in Attala County, Mississippi. The accident took place early in the morning on Friday, June 13, 2025. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the 22-year-old was driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler when it veered off the road, hit a ditch, and flipped over. Unfortunately, Meggs sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The details of the crash are currently being investigated by MHP authorities.
