Tragic death of child in Manchester, NH after car accident
Tragically, one of the children involved in the car accident in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday has passed away from their injuries, as stated by the authorities. A total of five individuals, including two young girls, were harmed when an alleged intoxicated driver collided with multiple vehicles on Belmont Street that day. Witnesses conveyed that the girls were crossing the street with their father when the incident occurred. They recounted that one of the girls was on a bicycle while the other was in a stroller. 23-year-old Justin Laclair of Manchester, the driver responsible, purportedly struck the girl on the bicycle with such force that she was thrown over the vehicle. Shockingly, he then proceeded to drag the stroller, with the baby still inside, for about a block. Sadly, the youngest child succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Boston, while her sister, who was riding the bicycle, continues to receive treatment for severe injuries. The Manchester Fire Department praised the quick response of an off-duty firefighter and emergency personnel who provided crucial assistance to the girls. The neighborhood has come together to support the injured children during this distressing time. Laclair faces charges of aggravated DWI, reckless conduct, and conduct after an accident, as he allegedly attempted to flee the scene after hitting the girls. An ongoing investigation is underway, and anyone with information is urged to contact Manchester Police.
