Tragic death of a 20-year-old in Shannon County side-by-side incident.
A tragic incident occurred near Winona, Missouri, as a side-by-side vehicle crash caused the death of a 20-year-old individual from De Soto and left three others injured. The unfortunate event took place on County Road 514, northeast of Winona, when a 2023 Can-Am Side by Side, carrying four passengers, veered off the road, overturned, and led to the ejection of the young passenger. Despite prompt medical attention, the 20-year-old succumbed to his injuries at Mercy Hospital in Springfield the following morning. Fortunately, the driver and two other passengers sustained minor injuries and declined medical aid. The victim's family has been informed of the tragedy, marking the 11th fatality in MSHP Troop G in 2025.
