Tragic death of 19-year-old in fatal Marengo car accident
A tragic car accident in Marengo claimed the life of a 19-year-old Janesville woman on Monday night. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to the incident on River Road, where a Toyota Prius driven by Marley Galvan failed to navigate a curve, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a tree and post before catching fire near a garage. Galvan passed away at the scene, while an unidentified passenger was transported to a hospital in Rockford. The authorities are still investigating the accident.
