Tragic crash kills boy, injures girl in Burlingame: authorities
A 19-year-old woman from San Mateo is suspected of causing a fatal crash that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old boy and injuries to a 6-year-old girl. The Burlingame Police Department reported that the incident took place on Friday evening outside a restaurant on Donnelly Avenue. The collision occurred at Truffle Poke Bar, with the suspected vehicle still at the scene as of 10 p.m. The police confirmed that the two children were hit on the sidewalk in front of the business. The injured girl was taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment, while the young boy sadly passed away at the scene. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as they investigate the cause of the accident.
