Tragic crash in Lafayette County leaves 2 women dead, 3 minors injured
In Lafayette County on Saturday morning, a tragic accident occurred that resulted in the loss of two women's lives, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The incident took place at 8:43 a.m. on Highway 30, where a 2013 Ford Expedition driven by a 44-year-old woman collided with a 2015 Dodge Ram driven by a minor traveling in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the woman driving the Ford Expedition and a 32-year-old woman both succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Another individual involved in the crash sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, while two minors were also injured and received medical attention. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
