Tragic crash claims 8 lives from Missouri family and 2 Oklahoma teens

Tragedy struck near U.S Highway 169 in Franklin County on Sunday evening when a devastating crash claimed the lives of eight people, involving a GMC Yukon XL and a Subaru Legacy colliding head-on. The crash occurred around 5:43 p.m. at mile marker 111.1, as detailed in the KHP crash log. Thankfully, a 15-year-old from Oklahoma was the sole survivor and is currently recovering in the hospital. The Franklin County stretch of highway was closed for investigation, with one resident noting the area's known dangers due to speeding drivers. Among the victims were a high school student, a former coach, and a transportation team member from Tulsa Public Schools, who were returning from a basketball tournament.
