Tragic Collision Takes Life of 21-Year-Old Driver
A tragic incident occurred in Aiken County over the weekend, resulting in the death of a young man. The collision occurred at the intersection of Wagener Road and Flowing Wells Road on Saturday afternoon. According to investigators, a GMC Sonoma and a Chevy Silverado were involved in the crash when the Silverado collided with the Sonoma as it attempted a left turn onto Flowing Wells Road. Both vehicles then veered off the road and ended up in a nearby pond. The driver of the GMC Sonoma, Jacob Langley, aged 21, lost his life in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene by Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables. An autopsy is set to take place in Newberry this week. The occupants of the Silverado suffered minor injuries and are not in critical condition. South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.
