
Tragic car crash claims lives of Liverpool FC player Diogo Jota and his brother in northern Spain

Their Lamborghini crashed and caught fire on the A-52 motorway between the towns of Asturianos and Cernadilla. Emergency services responded to reports of the vehicle leaving the road at kilometre 65 and being engulfed in flames. Despite efforts by paramedics, Jota, 28, and Silva, 26, could not be saved. The incident is being investigated, with a tyre blowout as a possible cause. Diogo Jota, who recently got married, was a key player for Liverpool and the Portuguese national team, having achieved significant success including winning the Premier League and the Nations League.
