Tragic car crash claims lives of five family members in coastal Georgia

The collision occurred on I-95 in McIntosh County around 6 am when one vehicle crashed into another heading southbound. The impact caused one of the vehicles to catch fire. The victims in the vehicle that caught fire were identified as Reagan Dougan, 27, and her four children aged 9, 4, 2, and 3 months. Reagan was driving a rental car from Raleigh, North Carolina, on her way to meet her husband in Florida. Her husband has been informed about the tragic accident. The passenger in the other vehicle involved in the crash was taken to the hospital for medical care. In another incident, a single-car crash occurred in Middleborough early Sunday morning that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old and left a passenger seriously injured. Emergency services responded to Marion Road at around 2:37 am following reports of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, rescuers found that the car had collided with a tree. Bystanders were able to extract the passenger from the wreckage before first responders arrived. The injured passenger, who suffered severe injuries, was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.
