Tragic ATV accident claims life of teenager in Wayne County
A 13-year-old has tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Screven County. The incident involved two 13-year-olds, with one serving as the driver and the other as a passenger near Little Saltilla Wildlife Management area. The ATV rolled over, causing the passenger to be ejected. Despite being taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, the passenger did not survive. The condition of the driver is currently unknown, but they were also taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The situation is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT).
