Tragic accident in Sheldon results in one fatality and another sustaining serious injuries.
A tragic incident occurred in Sheldon, Vermont last Friday evening, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old woman and causing serious injuries to another individual. The event unfolded when an attempt to stop a speeding vehicle on Route 105 was made by a trooper just before 6:30 p.m. The driver did not comply with the request to pull over, and the trooper chose not to pursue further. Nevertheless, a mere two minutes later, the same vehicle, a Honda Crosstour, collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra near Kane Road. The driver of the Honda, identified as Aryanna Flemming, 18, from Enosburgh, tragically lost her life at the scene. Subsequent investigations revealed that Flemming veered off the road before colliding with the vehicle driven by Andrea Dilner, 36, from Fletcher, who sustained serious injuries. Dilner was initially taken to Northwestern Medical Center before transfer to UVM Medical Center in Burlington for further treatment. A part of Route 105 was temporarily closed for investigations but has since been reopened.
