Tragic accident in Jefferson County takes life of teenage driver
A tragic accident in Jefferson County resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another. The incident occurred on US Highway 81, south of E1930 Road, involving a 17-year-old driver from Chickasha and a 25-year-old individual from Duncan named Mila Proctor. The teenager was heading south on US 81 when she veered into the northbound lane, leading to a collision with Proctor's vehicle. Despite Proctor's efforts to avoid the crash, both cars collided on the driver's sides, causing Proctor's vehicle to overturn. The young driver lost her life in the accident, while Proctor sustained injuries. Fortunately, both individuals were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were the sole occupants of their vehicles. Family members have been informed of the situation.
