Tragic Accident: Elderly Pedestrian Killed by Car in Bedford
Bedford Police Department reported that a pedestrian, aged 70, was fatally struck by a motor vehicle on Monday. The incident took place around 4:50 p.m. on Rockside Road. Upon arriving at the scene, Bedford officers and the Fire Department provided immediate aid to the man who was hit while crossing the road on a motorized scooter. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at MetroHealth after being transported there. The driver of the truck involved, a blue Ford Fusion, remained at the scene, stated the police. An investigation into the accident is currently underway.
