A tragic incident occurred south of Flagstaff involving a fatal crash with an off-highway vehicle (OHV). On Sunday morning, the Coconino County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash with multiple victims on Forest Service Road 535 and State Route 89A near the top of Oak Creek Canyon. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered that an OHV driven by Miguel A. Pacheco had crashed and rolled over. The passengers included a 17-year-old, a 7-year-old, and a 19-month-old baby. The connection between the driver and the children is currently unclear. Following the incident, Pacheco was arrested and taken into custody on potential charges including manslaughter, aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument, felony endangerment, possession/use of a narcotic drug, DUI, reckless driving, among others. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
