Tragic accident claims life of 18-year-old in Platte County crash
A tragic car accident took the life of an 18-year-old from Kansas City, Kansas, on July 3 on Missouri Highway 45 in Platte County, Missouri. The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. north of Kisker Road. The collision involved a 2018 Kia Rio and a 2024 BMW 230i almost head-on. The young driver, Emmelie Rodriguez, sadly passed away at the scene. The elderly man driving the BMW and his female passenger sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
