Traffic on I-15 at 163 stops due to intense multi-car crash.

A traffic accident on Saturday night on Highway 15 in San Diego led to a vehicle catching fire and the closure of all lanes. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) addressed the collision that occurred around 9:45 p.m. south on Interstate 15, just north of the 163. By 10 p.m., Caltrans confirmed all lanes were shut down due to the incident. CHP stated that four vehicles were involved in the collision, triggered by one vehicle rear-ending another that was traveling at about 50 mph with hazard lights on. This impact caused one vehicle to crash into a highway divider, igniting a fire. Emergency responders took one person to the hospital.
