Traffic delays on westbound I-4 in Dover due to fatal crash
A fatal accident has resulted in the closure of one westbound lane on I-4 in Dover, leading to significant traffic delays heading into Tampa. The incident occurred around 10:50 a.m. on Saturday near the Branch Forbes Road exit. After initial closure of all lanes for approximately two hours, all but one lane were eventually reopened. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 54-year-old man from Apopka experienced a medical emergency while driving an SUV, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The SUV veered off the road, flipped over, and came to a stop in the trees. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away.
