Traffic delays in the morning due to pedestrian fatality on 110 Freeway in Los Angeles.

A tragedy occurred on Thursday morning in Los Angeles' Florence area as a pedestrian was fatally hit on the 110 Freeway, leading to the closure of multiple lanes. The California Highway Patrol received the report of the incident around 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Manchester Avenue, where it was revealed that a sedan had struck the individual in the FasTrak lane. The scene was filmed by Sky 5 at 7 a.m., showing the body covered by a yellow tarp and the sedan with a damaged windshield nearby. A SigAlert was put in place as emergency responders arrived, causing the closure of the three left lanes and resulting in heavy traffic on both sides of the freeway. It remains uncertain why the pedestrian was in the lane, whether due to a vehicle breakdown or other motives. Stay tuned for further updates on this tragic event.
