Traffic is currently congested in the westbound lanes of I-4 in Plant City following a fatal accident near Branch Forbes Rd. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 54-year-old man from Apopka experienced a medical emergency, leading to the loss of control of his Kia SUV. The vehicle collided with the median guardrail, crossed the highway, went airborn, and flipped into the tree line. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.
