Traffic buildup and accident near Turnpike off-ramp on I-95 south in Biddeford
There was significant congestion reported on the southbound side of Interstate 95 between Saco and Biddeford on Wednesday evening due to an incident near a Maine Turnpike Authority off-ramp. The MTA later noted heavy traffic on the Exit 32 off-ramp in Biddeford leading to Route 111/Alfred Road and the Biddeford Connector. This caused back-ups on I-95 south to Exit 36. A crash was also reported at Mile 41 in Scarborough later that evening, with the left lane blocked and delays expected. Both travel alerts have now been resolved by the Maine Turnpike Authority.
