Traffic alert: Accident on Interstate 80 eastbound close to State Street results in lane closures
A collision on I-80 EB near State Street in Salt Lake City resulted in the closure of multiple lanes. Utah Department of Transportation reported a multi-vehicle accident at approximately 4:20 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-80. It caused the blocking of at least three out of four lanes close to State Street (milepost 123), prompting a response from emergency services. Utah Highway Patrol confirmed three vehicles were involved, now all moved to the right side of the road, with no injuries reported. As of now, the estimated clearance time is 5:19 p.m., though this may change. It is advised for the public to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
