Tractor-trailer crash on US 22/322 leads to major traffic delays
A recent incident involving a tractor-trailer crash on US 22/322 led to substantial damage to barriers and caused delays on Friday. PennDOT's representative reported that the accident occurred on the westbound side of 22/322 near the Mountain Road exit just after 11 a.m. The crash led to significant destruction of the center concrete barriers, resulting in the temporary closure of the left lanes for both east and westbound traffic. Although traffic was able to pass through using the right lanes, there were notable backups. The road closure lasted for several hours as crews worked to fully reopen the road, addressing tasks such as cleaning up a fuel spill and replacing the damaged barriers. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in connection with the crash.
