Tractor-trailer crash leaves mother dead, 15-year-old girl injured
A tragic accident in Bulloch County resulted in the loss of a mother's life and her daughter being critically injured. Georgia State Patrol reported that a tractor-trailer ran a stop sign on SR-46, colliding with a Honda Odyssey van carrying the mother and daughter. The mother, who was driving, passed away at the scene, while her 15-year-old daughter was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Savannah where she remains in critical condition. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed. The incident led to a road closure for three and a half hours as authorities conducted an investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
