Tractor-trailer causes 18-vehicle crash on I-95 near Aventura, per FHP
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a large truck traveling south on I-95 caused a significant accident involving almost 20 vehicles near Aventura. The incident occurred on Thursday night close to Ives Dairy Road when the truck failed to stop in congested traffic, leading to a series of collisions. This resulted in injuries to 29 people, with 13 needing further treatment at hospitals while the rest were attended to at the location. Due to a fuel leak, the road was shut down, and drivers were rerouted to Ives Dairy Rd. The highway was accessible again by early Friday morning.
