Tractor overturned on Oregon highway after deadly crash
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A person is dead after crashing into a John Deere tractor on Hwy 204 in Union County on Thursday, Oregon State Police announced. The crash took place around 3:15 p.m. near milepost 33, police said. Mikel Cribbs, 44, was driving a Hyundai Sonata when he "crossed into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons and struck an eastbound John Deere tractor," police said. "The collision caused extensive damage to the Hyundai and (caused) the John Deere to overturn." Cribbs was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
